Stampack -Metal forming simulation software
Stampack is the metal forming simulation software for many industrial applications such as ironing, necking, embossing, stretch-forming, forming of thick sheets, flex-forming, hydro-forming of multi chamber profiles, stretch-bending of profiles, etc.
Stampack is practical software oriented to product and process design engineers so that knowledge and experience of finite element analysis (FEA) is not required. Most of the simulation definition work is automated leaving engineers to concentrate on the engineering problems and solutions rather than on the numerical parameters. Usage of Stampack provides a practical method for almost eliminating the creation of physical prototypes and thereby reducing time and money required in getting the product into the market. Also reduces headaches during tryout.
The prediction of the final component shape for the above mentioned processes includes the effects of tools and even material coatings enabling the anticipation of problems such as metal damage, wrinkling and springback, even before designs have been finalized, tooling have been manufactured and the first trials have been processed.
